New York vocalist Robbie Nova is on the rise to becoming a prominent figure in R&B music. With immense talent and a captivating tone Nova is catching the ears of many. This singer, writer and composer is truly dedicated to his craft. In his current mix tape accompanied by DJ Finesse, Nova's lyrics and sound construct emotion filled songs that transcend the sound of today's R&B.

Robbie was able to catch the ear of Finesse whom later placed one of his songs on a prior mix tape. Liking what he heard, Finesse gave Robbie the platform to do a whole mixtape despite the fact he is still an unsigned artist. "Finesse really liked what was going on" says Nova "so we just clicked and started a network."

His niche for singing came through a sense of discovery, "playing around in high school by singing to girls and mocking singers, turned into people telling me that I had a nice voice" Nova says "me playing around gave me confidence, so I began to take it more seriously".

And that is exactly what he did; not only known for his vocals, Robbie writes his songs and plays the piano, becoming more hands on with his music. The connection with his music is undeniably heard and is slowly but surely leading to a lot of heavyweights in the industry taking notice.

Robbie Nova's heavy buzz has lead to talks of him getting signed to a major label. Nova humbly downplays all the rumors, assuring that his mind is focused on branding a name for himself, "getting signed is cool, but right now it's all about putting out the Robbie Nova name, by doing this we are incorporating a rap movement with R&B." The movement he speaks of is known as TEAM NOVA. With this production team he plans on putting out more mix tapes, and doing more performances.

As the genre of R&B evolves, and more artists flood the scene, Nova credits his ability to write and create his own songs, as what sets him apart from most of his peers. Writing allows him to bring lyrics that can be relatable as well as speak on situations listeners may have or are going through. "I'm getting great response for my music; people are telling me that it's better than a lot of things that's out, so I can't wait for them to hear what's really going on."

Taking pride in his multi-talents, Robbie stills remembers that he is an artist first. With this belief he is going beyond perfecting records he makes in the studio, to perfecting his stage presence.
