Thu 7/31 - Fri 9/5 (6PM)
32-36 Little West 12th St. Ground Fl. New York, NY 10014
Cost: FREE!
Official Site: http://www.destinationny.net

Destination Art Space, a gallery within an upscale boutique merging fashion and art, is pleased to present the work of emerging illustrator/artist Yoko Furusho. This is her first solo U.S. show. Entitled "exhale," the gallery space will be filled with a series of drawings and sculptures that draw us into Furusho's wonderland between imagination and reality: lots of fluffy mushrooms, flying birds, detailed drawn animals, and girls listening to music, eating sweets, dancing in a nice dress, etc…. Furusho's works are always full of fantasy and express their feelings in their own world.

*Yoko Furusho was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. She moved to New York for studying illustration at School of Visual Arts. After her graduation in 2008, she started her career as an illustrator/artist. She recently won a one-year contact as the cover artist for "CHOPSTICKS," a monthly Japanese magazine.

Uptown Wine Extravaganza
free unlimited Franzia white wine and Diet Coke with meal purchase / All day, every day
Silk Road Palace
447 Amsterdam Avenue, bt. 81st & 82nd Streets UWS

Silk Road knows a buzzed customer is a happy customer, so they include a glass of complimentary white wine ("Franzia," as in "from a box") with your meal. And it's bottomless, at least until the shame of re-ordering kicks in.

If you want to compare UWS Chinese food, also try the Cottage, with locations at 77th and 111th Streets (on Amsterdam Ave). Same deal, bigger vessel -- all hail the complimentary white wine carafe.
